Engineering Deployment

IEX designs and deploys the systems that put scavenger materials to work in your process.

How scavenger material is integrated and operated within your process determines whether it delivers the required performance consistently and at scale. IEX matches the deployment solution to your process and needs as an operator, not the other way around.

The IEX Approach

Not every application requires the same level of integration. IEX matches the deployment solution to the scale, frequency, and operational requirements of your process, from simple cartridge-based systems for smaller volumes through to permanent fixed installations for continuous high-volume operation.

Because IEX manufactures its own materials and manages the full lifecycle through to recovery and disposal via Mastermelt, the deployment solution is part of an end-to-end system with a single point of responsibility.

Deployment Options

Cartridge Systems

Scavenger material is packaged into cartridges that are installed directly into your process. Cartridges can be purchased outright, loaded with IEX scavenger material, or supplied and managed by IEX under a refill and recovery service. Under the refill and recovery service, spent cartridges are returned to IEX, discharged, sent to MasterMelt for recovery, refilled, and returned. You never need to handle the active scavenger material. IEX manages the process from delivery through to metal recovery and settlement.

Skid-Mounted Systems

IEX can provide skid-mounted treatment systems for applications where a permanent installation is not possible or where a trial is needed before committing to a fixed solution. Skids can be lent for onsite validation trials or supplied under a lease arrangement for ongoing batch or campaign treatment.

Fixed Bed Integration

Where your process involves large volumes, tight specifications, or continuous operation, IEX designs and installs fixed bed column systems integrated directly into your process plant. Lead, lag, and polishing column configurations can be designed to achieve the required separation performance for the large volumes involved.

Onsite Support and Commissioning

IEX provides onsite support throughout installation and commissioning. This includes process audits to identify where material losses are occurring and where performance can be improved, as well as review of existing scavenger installations and recommendations for change-out or system upgrade.
